Midwest Eye-Banks is a not-for-profit, 501(c)(3) organization whose mission is the restoration of sight. We provide the Gift of Sight to thousands of cornea transplant recipients each year and support eye and vision research. From our Ann Arbor headquarters, we operate the Michigan Eye-Bank, the Illinois Eye-Bank (Chicago, IL), the Illinois Eye-Bank, Watson Gailey (Bloomington, IL), and the Lions Eye Bank of New Jersey (Springfield, NJ). Community Engagement Associate 
Location: Ann Arbor, MI

The preferred candidate will possess background (i.e., degree, some coursework or applied experience) in public/community relations and written communications. Solid computer skills are a must; volunteer and/or nonprofit experience a plus. This full-time position supports Community Engagement functions by helping to coordinate events, design and implement special projects, assist with volunteer coordination and provide clerical support. The individual will be expected to represent the organization at various community events throughout the state.   We offer excellent benefits and a competitive salary, plus career development and growth opportunities. Community Engagement Coordinator

Location: Chicago, IL

Develop and maintain relationships with identified constituents. Coordinate public education programs, local community engagement team. Provide, and assist in the development of individualized public programs. Collaborate with Coalition efforts in the development and implementation of programs and services relating to the promotion of anatomical gifts. Assist in the development and distribution of educational materials. Actively recruit Ambassadors and coordinate their activity statewide. Provide content and direction for community engagement newsletters and other communication vehicles. Coordinate local community engagement activities. Background required: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Organized. Willingness to travel extensively throughout service area.
