The Michigan Eye-Bank is a not-for-profit, 501(c)(3) organization whose mission is the restoration of sight. We provide the Gift of Sight to thousands of cornea transplant recipients each year and support eye and vision research. The Michigan Eye-Bank is a division of Midwest Eye-Banks, which operates the Michigan Eye-Bank, the Illinois Eye-Bank (Chicago, IL), the Illinois Eye-Bank, Watson Gailey (Bloomington, IL), and the Lions Eye Bank of New Jersey (Springfield, NJ). Communications and Logistics Center Specialist I
Ann Arbor, MI
This full-time position plays an important role in the corporate Communications and Logistics Center (CLC) through the intake of eye donor referrals, screening of donor information for transplant/research suitability, and the coordination of eye tissue recovery and tissue transportation. The CLC operates 24/7/365, and its staff must periodically work evenings and weekend shifts as assigned.
Bachelor’s Degree in a medical/scientific or human service-related field preferred. Experience in medical field preferred. The successful candidate must possess excellent communication skills, plan and execute complex tasks effectively, and be able to interact professionally with peers and healthcare personnel.
Work is performed in an office environment. Competitive salary and benefits.
